As graphic designer, I also offer workshops in digital image editing, graphic design, web design as well as web development to individuals and small groups. Image Editing
In this course you will get familiar with all basic digital image editing skills. Subject matters will include understanding common image types, working with layered images, digitally enhancing images, making selections, learning to work with vector shapes and masks, as well as working with layer effects and using filters. Finally you will learn how to save and export your image files for screen and print.
Graphic Design
Learn how to work with vector shapes and SVG files. You will learn how to create a simple logo as well as learn how to prepare other marketing materials like business cards, postcards and brochure files for print. Subjects will include: vector images versus bitmapped images, using color modes and resolution, editing vector shapes, working with effects and preparing your files for desktop and pre-press print.
Web Design
A course for everyone who wants to know more about what goes into creating a website. You will get an introduction into the use of HTML and PHP and get familiar with some tools available to help you create websites like WordPress. You will also learn how to visually enhance the design of a website by using CSS as well as acquire the basic skills of working with web servers and uploading your files through FTP.
